Café du Monde may not be coming to City Park after all.
Park officials in June awarded the restaurant the lease at the park's Casino building, which means they would replace Morning Call. Morning Call sued, saying they were unfairly kicked out of the bidding process because they were late to a meeting.
A judge on Wednesday ruled that being late for a meeting isn't a legitimate reason to disqualify a bidder, especially because Café du Monde had made some mistakes in its bid application as well.
