Norwegian Breakaway will be the largest ship to call New Orleans its home port, and it's set to arrive in the city on Sunday.
The nearly 4,000 passenger ship will nearly double the cruise capacity from the city and will sail a regular rotation of multi-day cruises to the Caribbean.
Company executives said the ship previously sailed from New York City to the Caribbean.
Its arrival comes after a two-week renovation in May 2018.
