St. Tammany Parish Voters Could Decide Future Of Animal Services

St. Tammany Parish voters have the potential to decide the future of animal services when they cast their ballots on December 8th.

A ten-year, $1 million renewal that serves as the main source of income for the parish's Department of Animal Services will need to be re-approved. If voters say yes, the department will continue operating, but if they turn thumbs-down, operations will be severely impacted.

On average, the renewal will cost property owners $16 a year, and will help provide services for stray and unwanted animals.
