Flash Flood Watch Issued For Saturday

An approaching cold front is bringing the threat of heavy rain for Saturday, prompting a flash flood watch that will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service says 3 to 4 inches in total are possible for parts of southeast Louisiana through Sunday morning.

The rain threat prompted cancellations of Christmas parades in the Baton Rouge area that were set to roll on Saturday.

Much colder air will be moving in behind the cold front, with Sunday's highs only in the upper 40s.
