Louisiana will be giving February SNAP benefits out early.
The Department of Child and Family Services says most state SNAP recipients will get February benefits on our before January 20th. They remind residents that these are not extra funds and the benefits need to be budgeted to last through February.
The early issuance comes in response to the partial government shutdown.
