More and more restaurants in the New Orleans area are offering free meals to workers furloughed during the partial federal government shutdown.

Famed celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse is among the latest to offer the impacted workers who haven't received a paycheck in over a month some assistance.

The Advocate says Lagasse's restaurant, NOLA, located in the French Quarter, will begin offering "grab-and-go" hot meals starting Monday between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

A federal ID will be required.
