Baton Rouge Truck Driver Facing Bevy Of Charges After I-10 Incidents

A Louisiana truck driver remains jailed in Jackson County, Mississippi following his arrest Wednesday afternoon after his wild two-state ride on I-10 West came to an end near Vancleave.

Authorities say that Michael Mack of Baton Rouge is facing more than a dozen charges in Alabama and Mississippi, including three counts of aggravated assault against a police officer and five counts of reckless endangerment.

They say he used his semi to first run an ambulance off the interstate and later sideswiped an 18-wheeler before stopping his truck on I-10 that led to a five-hour long standoff with law enforcement.
