With coach Will Wade not on the sidelines, top-seeded LSU was handed a 76-73 defeat by Florida in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament when the Gators' Andrew Nembhard hit a 3-pointer with one second left.

Wade was suspended by the university for refusing to speak with officials about a report alleging he was caught by a FBI wiretap discussing a payment arrangement with a recruit. Guard Javonte Smart, believed to be the player in question, was cleared to play for ninth-ranked LSU after school officials said he cooperated fully in the inquiry.
