A Pearl River man will spend the rest of his life in prison after a jury found him guilty in the shooting deaths of his estranged wife and her boyfriend in 2017.

A St. Tammany Parish judge in Covington handed 39-year-old Jason Magee two consecutive life sentences yesterday in the killing of Jennifer Magee and Donald Gros.

The Magee's, the parents of a six and eight-year-old, had been separated for more than a year, with divorce proceedings underway.

Magee's brother is on death row for murdering his estranged wife and son 12 years ago.
