Governor Declares Tuesday "Laine Hardy Day"

Gov. John Bel Edwards has declared today "Laine Hardy Day" as the American Idol finalist enjoys a homecoming that includes a parade and concert in Livingston Parish.

"The First Family and I had the honor of welcoming our hometown American Idol at the Governor’s Mansion this morning. Good luck Laine, we’re rooting for you!," wrote the Governor on Facebook.

The parade will be held this afternoon, ending at the Livingston Parish Fairgrounds where Hardy is expected to perform. Idol cameras will be rolling and some of the footage will be used for Sunday's finale.
