Pelicans Sell Hundreds Of Season Tickets After Securing Top Draft Pick

Golden State Warriors v New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans have reportedly sold more than 2,500 season tickets since winning the NBA Draft Lottery yesterday.

The team, which had an estimated 6% chance of winning the top pick, will have the opportunity to take Duke's Zion Williamson. The forward is the most hyped college basketball player since the Pelicans previously beat the odds in 2012 to win the first overall pick and draft Anthony Davis from Kentucky.

They say the 2,500 season tickets sold in the last day is more than double the number sold when they won the top pick in 2012.
