Police say they have arrested a teenager in connection to gunshots being fired at an infant's birthday party earlier this week.

According to yesterday's reports, the 16-year old suspect was taken into custody and charged with attempted first-degree murder while 33-year old Carlene Jackson was also charged with attempted murder and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Officials say the teen was involved in a fight at Zemurray Park and fired his gun near where a one-year old's birthday party was being held.

Authorities said no one was hurt in the incident and praised the quick response time of officers and the actions of good Samaritans in the crowd who helped prevent the fight from escalating further.
