SNAP Offering Replacement Benefits For Food Lost During Barry

Residents who lost food during Hurricane Barry that was purchased with SNAP benefits may be eligible for food replacement.

The Department of Children and Family Services says anyone who used benefits to buy food that went bad because of power outages of at least 24 hours can apply for replacement benefits.

Residents have ten calendar days from the time of the outage to report the loss, either verbally or in writing, along with a signed SNAP 38 form.
