Sanitary Drain Issues Found At New Orleans Airport Terminal

A contractor says they are working on repairs to the sanitary drain line that runs under the new airport terminal in New Orleans.

Officials updated the project yesterday saying they have found multiple breaks in around 300 feet of the drainage system underneath the building.

Airport representatives said despite the setback, the terminal is still on schedule to open in the fall.

Crews are working fast to fix the issues, and engineers are trying to find out what caused the rupture to prevent future problems.
