New Orleans Moves To Have Gert Town Radiation Lawsuit Dismissed

The city of New Orleans is moving to have a lawsuit over radioactive material found in Gert Town dismissed.

City attorneys filed a motion yesterday asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit because the plaintiffs have not proven any federal laws or regulations were violated.

The lawsuit stems over allegations that officials knew about the radioactive material found under a Gert Town street as early as 2103 and did nothing about it until earlier this year.

The court did not immediately make a ruling and has taken the motion under review.
