JFK Parents Join Lawsuit Against School, Others

Test Exam Answer Sheet

More parents of John F. Kennedy High School students are joining a lawsuit against the school for a grade-fixing scandal.

Back in March, it was revealed that nearly 70 students who walked across the stage did not have the credits to graduate, due to grade fixing.

Orleans Parish School Board and New Beginnings Charter, as well as the state are all named in the lawsuit filed last month.

Many parents have complained that those students haven't received a diploma even after completing the required summer classes. School officials say they are waiting for approval from the state Department of Education.
