The timetable for property owners to challenge the Orleans Parish's new property assessments is now closed.
A line of people formed yesterday at City Hall as residents scrambled to get their appeals in before the deadline.
If a property owner's appeal is denied they can still send their dispute to the State Tax Commission, and if denied there, they can move it to the courts.
