Five people are in the hospital following a shooting near Mike Miley Playground.
While initial reports indicated that the victims suffered gunshot wounds, all were actually injured by glass and debris fragments.
Officials say the incident happened around 5 p.m. yesterday near West Metairie Avenue and Airline Park Boulevard, when one vehicle drove up alongside another and someone inside fired three shots.
The victims drove themselves to a local hospital and none of their injuries were life-threatening.
