New Orleans officials are admitting that only 4% of the city's linear drainage pipes have been inspected in 2019.

At a public works committee meeting held last night, Director Keith LaGrange said a lack of funding and manpower had led to an estimated 96% of the pipes being left uninspected.

LaGrange also said that New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell's New Fair Share Deal would secure the money needed to properly maintain and inspect the drainage infrastructure.
