Loyola Student Accused Of Sexual Battery Freed On Bond, Banned From Campus

Loyola University says it has banned a student accused of sexual assault from campus following his release from jail.

Carlos Pena Cifuentes was arrested on Saturday and booked with sexual battery but later posted a $3,500 bond and was released.

Cifuentes was taken into custody after a victim identified him as the man who sexually assaulted her at the Boot Bar and Grill on Broadway Street.

Officials confirmed yesterday that Cifuentes is a student at the Loyola but not a member of the residential campus community and is now no longer allowed on school grounds.
