New reports show a deputy chief of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office has been arrested on suspicion of DUI this morning.

The Sheriff's Office says Greg Longino, a 29-year veteran of the force, was stopped around 5:30 a.m. on the Causeway Bridge for traveling more than 90 miles an hour.

He was not on duty at the time and was in his personal vehicle.

According to Sheriff Randy Smith, Longino will not receive any special treatment.

An investigation into Longino has been opened and he has been placed on administrative leave.

Longino is one of four deputy chiefs at the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office and is a member of Smith's executive staff.
