The Mandeville City Council says they are looking at renaming property around City Hall after fallen Police Captain Vincent Liberto.
Council members said they began discussing an ordinance last night that would allow the mayor to rename the road in front of city hall for Liberto, who was the first Mandeville killed in the line of duty in over six decades.
Liberto was a former Marine and 25-year veteran of the MPD and died last month when he was shot by a suspect during a traffic stop.
