Lusher High Principal Denies Free Chick-fil-A In Support of LGBTQ Staff

A high school in New Orleans is refusing to serve a free Chick-fil-A meal that was offered to teachers in order to show support for the school's LGBTQ employees.

According to reports, Lusher High School Principal Dr. Steven Corbett said his reason for rejecting the free food was "out of respect for LGBTQ staff members."

The free food for the high school was given to Orleans Parish schools by the College Football Playoff Foundation for organizing the Sugar Bowl and College Football Championship.

The opposition comes after Chick-Fil-A's founder Dan Cathy expressed in 2012 that marriage is a union between one man and one woman, and alleged donations supporting conversion therapy.
