Officials say with each passing day, the costs of cleaning up the Hard Rock Hotel collapse site are growing.
New Orleans firefighters and emergency officials have been at Canal and Rampart since the hotel collapsed unexpectedly on October 12th.
City officials said they should be within budget as they built in enough cushion last year to cover the costs associated with emergencies.
Mayor LaToya Cantrell says the building's owner will have to cover many of the expenses that came after the collapse as well as the cost for the hotel's demolition.
