Louisiana Ranks Low In New Education Report

Louisiana is once again coming in at the bottom of the rankings in education reports.

Students in the Pelican State ranked 49th overall on the ACT, a decline from 45th nationally the year before.

On the nation's report card, public school students finished 44th nationally in math and 49th nationally in reading.

However, Superintendent of Education John White did highlight a significant improvement, saying eighth grade students showed the biggest gains in the nation for math, a subject that they've frequently struggled with.
