A new traffic study says Louisiana has the third most dangerous teenage drivers nationwide.

According to data released yesterday by a national consumer reports agency, Louisiana ranks behind Arkansas and Montana as the state with the worst drivers between 15 and 19 years old.

The study shows Louisiana teens are 111% worse than the national average when it comes to wearing a seatbelt, 81% worse for drinking and driving, and 9% worse for texting and driving.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the CDC provided data used in tabulating the results of the study.
