Joe Burrow Reveals Torn Rib Cartilage Injury During National Championship

College Football Playoff National Championship - Clemson v LSU

LSU quarterback Joe Burrow is revealing he played more than half of the National Championship Game with torn rib cartilage.

Burrow spoke yesterday on a sports podcast saying he suffered the injury when Clemson linebacker James Skalski hit him just before halftime.

Skalski was later ejected from the game in the third quarter for an illegal hit on LSU receiver Justin Jefferson.

Burrow's ribs should be healed in plenty of time for him to work out in front of pro teams in few months as the frontrunner for the first pick in the 2020 NFL draft.
