Louisiana Sending Resources To Puerto Rico After Recent Earthquakes

PUERTORICO-EARTHQUAKE

Louisiana is sending aid to Puerto Rico after recent earthquakes rocked the island.

On Wednesday, Governor John Bel Edwards approved the deployment of more than 20 deputies with the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal to help in the recovery efforts.

Edwards added that Louisiana first responders have valuable experience dealing with natural disasters and will be on the island helping to determine the structural integrity of buildings that survived the quake.

The relief workers are expected to fly out today and be deployed for around two weeks.
