Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards is seeking federal aide for businesses being hurt by the COVID-19 closures.
Edwards asked the Small Business Administration for initial help in Orleans and Jefferson parishes, but plans on including all other parishes.
Due to the cancellation of major events, customers not walking in, low inventory from suppliers and client cancellations, businesses across the state are suffering
Before the help arrives, the state must provide evidence that businesses are being hurt from the pandemic.
