New Data Suggests Most COVID-19 Cases In Louisiana Are People Over 40

Louisiana health officials are releasing data from this month's confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Though the state lab has only tested over 500 people, the data gives us a look at the demographics of the state's confirmed cases.

The data suggests that more than 80% of the cases involve people over the age of 40.

These numbers are not representative of who has the virus. Governor John Bel Edwards says it's already present in many people old and young.
