Jump, a division of rideshare company Uber, says it is suspending its Blue Bikes services in New Orleans until the city's stay-at-home orders are lifted.

The company sent out an email to Blue Bike users on Sunday informing them that devices could be a potential source of coronavirus like shopping carts or doorknobs.

Uber will also temporarily pause monthly charges for all Jump subscription plans until they return to service when the order is lifted.

Uber confirmed it would continue to offer its regular vehicle rideshare service and the Uber Eats home delivery option to residents.
