Organizer Of Weekend Second Line That Violated NOLA Ban Order Arrested

The New Orleans Police say they have arrested a man who organized a second line over the weekend in Gert Town.

According to reports, 38-year-old Cecil Spencer was taken into custody on Monday and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.

Spencer is accused of organizing a second line parade attended by over 100 people despite bans on large public gatherings to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Officials said on Monday there are over four-thousand cases of COVID-19 in Louisiana with over 1,400 in New Orleans.
