The Archdiocese of New Orleans says Archbishop Gregory Aymond is making good progress in his recovery from the coronavirus.

A statement released from Diocese officials yesterday said the Archbishop is feeling better and his fever is lowering at a consistent rate.

The 70-year-old Aymond was diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 23rd and said he is hoping to be recovered in time to live-stream Easter Mass later this month.

Aymond grew up in Gentilly and was named the 14th Archbishop of New Orleans in 2009.
