Cardi B Hospitalized After Suffering Severe Stomach Pains

Cardi B had to be taken to the hospital this week amid the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) crisis.

In since-deleted tweets, the 27-year-old informed fans that she had been hospitalized after suffering intense stomach pains for nearly a week. “Honestly, cause I been having some real bad stomach problems for four days, I went to the ER last night,” the “Bodak Yellow” star wrote in a now-deleted tweet, per the Daily Mail. “I’m feeling way better. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel no more pain.”

She previously expressed her discomfort on March 29, tweeting, “I have such a uncomfortable stomachache for the past 24 hours 🤦🏽‍♀️I’m so irritated by it.” Although it's unclear whether Cardi has already been discharged, she did share an image of her wearing a hospital band on social media dated March 31.

As of Thursday morning (April 2), the emcee seemed to be feeling better and back to her comical self again as she posted a relatable Donald Duck meme on Instagram. “When you’re hungry but all the food in the house needs to be cooked,” the meme reads, to which Cardi adds in the caption, “Mood right f—kin now.”

The “Be Careful” musician’s hospitalization comes during a trying time as the world continues to be impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, which has led more than 215,000 to be infected with the novel disease in the United States.

Cardi has perhaps been the most outspoken rapper to address the coronavirus crisis, having cashed in on the phenomenon with a chart-topping song and defending East Asians who have been targeted in hate crimes amid the pandemic. Just a week ago, she was blasted for insinuating that celebrities — many of whom who have contracted the disease — are being paid to say they tested positive for the virus.
