Officials at Louis Armstrong International Airport are assessing the damage caused by a fire yesterday inside an electrical room.

The Kenner Fire Department and on-site crews responded to the call around 6:30 p.m.

The fire set off an internal sprinkler system, which caused water to be poured on several floors of the terminal.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
