Governor Edwards says he is extending his statewide stay-at-home order through April 30th.

Edwards announced the decision yesterday to keep in line with updated federal social distancing guidelines.

Residents are asked to continuing sheltering at home but can walk pets, exercise outdoors, and go to pharmacies, medical appointments, grocery, convenience, and warehouse stores.

Schools will also remain closed until the end of April with the Department of Education to announce plans for the future of the school year soon.
