Governor John Bel Edwards is signing a proclamation related to unemployment and the Louisiana Workforce Commission.
On Tuesday, Governor Edwards said he signed the proclamation as a response to concerns regarding unemployment in the state.
According to officials, the order not only addresses the issues related to unemployment and workers' compensation but also deems healthcare workers of the state as essential in the federal 'Family First Coronavirus Response Act.'
