A local advocacy group is partnering with Care.com to help essential workers find in-home child care during the coronavirus pandemic.
Agenda for Children has begun asking essential personnel in the state who needs child care and people interested in providing child care have access to a free 90-day membership on the website.
CEO Anthony Recasner said he decided to come up with the idea as many families are struggling to find someone to care for their children while they work during the public health emergency.
The company says it will conduct extensive background and safety checks of participants.
