Governor John Bel Edwards is happy about his visit to the White House.

On Twitter, the Democrat lauded the conversation he had at the White House today with President Trump.

He thanked Trump and Vice President Mike Pence for their support of Louisianans and he said he's ready to keep working with the feds as the state begins to start thinking about reopening.

Gov. Edwards added that Louisiana is going to increase widespread testing for coronavirus, with a commitment from federal officials of 200,000 tests a month.

Edwards said that should be enough to begin reopening the state.
