The Pelicans practice facility in Metairie is back up and running again.
The Ochsner Sports Performance Center opened its doors Monday for voluntary individual workouts, marking its comeback after being shut down back in March due to the coronavirus.
According to the NBA's reopening regulations, no more than four players are allowed in a team's building at one time, and while there, the players are allowed to workout with one staff member but not the head coach or an assistant.
In addition, the staff member who is rebounding for the player while working on shooting must wear gloves at all times and anyone who steps foot into the facility must have their temperature checked.
The fate of this NBA season is still in the air, but if games are able to eventually resume where they left off, the Pelicans will be perched three-and-a-half games out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference with 18 games left to play after the NBA season.
