New Orleans Mayor Latoya Cantrell wants to turn the French Quarter and other areas into pedestrian-only zones.

The Mayor says the COVID-19 pandemic has created opportunities to re-imagine public spaces to promote social distancing.

Cantrell says she has asked a task force to study the idea of reshaping the Quarter to exclude car traffic, referring to her ideas as "No Cars In The Quarter".
