Louisiana State Trooper Killed In Line Of Duty To Be Laid To Rest Tomorrow

Trooper George Baker, who was killed this month in the line of duty, is set to be laid to rest tomorrow.

The Louisiana State Police said yesterday that Baker will be buried in a private service on Thursday following a private memorial at the University Center on the campus of Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.

While the public is not allowed to attend, LSP officials are inviting those wishing to honor Baker to use social distancing and line the procession route from the University Center to Lighthouse Baptist Church on Horseshoe Road.

The funeral procession is expected to begin sometime around 12:15 p.m.
