Former LSU QB Joe Burrow Nominated For SEC Athlete Of The Year

The Southeastern Conference is revealing the nominees for this year's Roy F. Kramer Athletes of the Year Award.

On Monday, the SEC announced each of its 14-member institutions' nominees and two of LSU's shining stars made the list.

Former Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow was nominated for the men and track & field star Tonea Marshall was nominated for the women.

The SEC Athletes of the Year Awards were first presented in 1976 for men and 1984 for women.

The award was renamed the Roy F. Kramer Athletes of the Year in 2004 to honor the former Commissioner who served the conference from 1990 through 2002.
