Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards says the state could delay moving into Phase Three of its re-opening after a recent spike in COVID-19.

Edwards spoke yesterday, saying residents need a gut check on if they have been following precautions to stop the spread of the virus.

Officials did not release a new update on the state's COVID-19 numbers so they can review the data to make sure it is accurate and not duplicating previous results.

Office of Health's Dr. Alex Billoux said the mid-region of Louisiana appears to be showing a decline in testing with an increase in new cases and hospitalizations.
