Police say they have arrested a man who fatally stabbed a woman in St. Bernard Parish and then drove with her for 30 minutes to Kenner.
Officials said they apprehended the man on Monday morning after he crashed his car on I-10, and they discovered the victim in the backseat.
According to reports, the suspect stabbed the woman sometime on Sunday and then began driving while she bled out in the backseat.
The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital, and the man is currently waiting to be transferred to authorities in St. Bernard Parish, where he faces a charge of second-degree murder.
