LDH Reports Nearly 900 New COVID-19 Cases Wednesday

The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 882 cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the state's total to 52,477.

State health officials say 93% of the latest cases are being blamed on community spread.

The number of hospitalized fell slightly 631 with 77 of those on ventilators.

LDH added 18 deaths to the coronavirus' death toll, which now stands at 3,039.

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell announced Wednesday that face masks will be mandatory in the city.
