Officials are identifying the suspect who fatally stabbed a woman on Sunday night in St. Bernard Parish and then drove her to the Kenner area.
Sheriff Jimmy Pohlman confirmed yesterday that 31-year-old Dexter Muntongerwa of Phoenix, Arizona is in custody on charges of murdering 18-year-old Angela Molden.
Police say Muntongerwa was Molden's case manager with the Arizona Department of Child Safety when she lived in Phoenix for a time after Hurricane Katrina.
Molden moved back to Meraux in 2018, and her family says Muntongerwa may have been stalking her.
