The Kenner Police Department is investigating a shooting incident yesterday at a block party.
According to reports, officers responded to a call of shots fired around 4:30 p.m. near Acron Street, where an unauthorized block party was being held.
Witnesses say the gunfire came from within the crowd but could not provide descriptions of any suspects.
One person was taken to the hospital after being injured by shattered glass when one of the bullets hit their vehicle.
