COVID-19 Cases, Hospitalizations Continue To Climb In Louisiana

The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 1,161 cases of COVID-19 Monday, bringing the total reported since the pandemic began to 66,327.

LDH said the collection dates for most of the new cases came between June 29 and July 6. 98% of the cases came from community spread and 44% are from those aged 29 and younger.

The number of hospitalizations has increased to 964 with 109 patients on ventilators.

The death toll has risen by 8 to 3,188.
