The annual Red Dress Run in New Orleans is being canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Race organizers announced on Facebook yesterday that they had hoped to be able to hold the event, but the pandemic has not improved enough for local officials to give them the ok to run the race.
Those who have already signed up for the run will be sent an email with information on seeking a refund, rolling this year's registration to the event next year, or making a donation to the charities the race supports.
